Miguel perceives fitness and exercise as not only a hobby or passion, but a form of treatment, a preventative measure for disease and most importantly, a way of life.
He has realised his passion for sports at an early age. He has participated in sports such as basketball, swimming and badminton. However, his true passion lies within martial arts and combat sports. He has trained in boxing, Muay Thai and Aikido, and has a competitive background in Taekwondo. He is currently active in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu which he holds a purple belt in and has competed in multiple tournaments around New South Wales and the ACT.
His father introduced him to bodybuilding and resistance training at age 16, and he hasn’t looked back since. Over the years, he has continued to add to his ever-growing repertoire of training disciplines and modalities which ultimately led him to pursue a career in fitness.
Miguel sets himself apart from other trainers with his extensive knowledge and diverse experience in the field of exercise science. He has completed his Bachelors degree in Exercise and Sports Science and has had experience in physiotherapy and exercise physiology, having dealt with a variety of clients with different goals such as rehabilitation, pre-habilitation, body composition and athletic performance.
He is also an associate of MP Living health coaching and, prior to the lockdowns, trains his clients within Anytime Fitness Epping. Currently, he conducts 1 on 1 online training as well as group online training.
